Beige 2 AWG Wire Ferrules - 16mm Length - 10 Pack
Wire fraying can create significant issues when utilizing IEC (European)-style terminal blocks. To combat this, wire ferrules serve as an effective solution. These terminal fittings encapsulate stranded wires, transforming them into a solid, reliable connection, similar to solid wire. This is crucial for maintaining strong connections with IEC terminal blocks.
To use wire ferrules correctly, start by stripping the wire to the specified length. Next, slide the ferrule onto the exposed wire until the nylon casing is flush with the wire insulation. Ensure that you crimp the ferrule with the appropriate tool to achieve a secure connection. Proper technique and pressure during crimping are essential for optimal performance. Optionally, users can apply heat shrink for enhanced protection once crimped.
