Yellow 18 AWG Insulated Wire Ferrules - 25 Pack
Wire fraying can lead to unreliable connections, especially when using IEC-style terminal blocks. This issue can be effectively mitigated by employing wire ferrules. These terminal connectors encase the stranded wire, transforming it into a solid, dependable piece. This transformation is crucial for ensuring a stable connection when interfacing with IEC terminal blocks.
To utilize wire ferrules correctly, start by stripping the wire to the appropriate length. Slide the ferrule onto the exposed wire, ensuring the nylon casing meets the insulation. Utilize the proper crimping tool to secure the ferrule, as inadequate pressure may lead to a poor connection. Proper crimping technique is essential for optimal performance. For added protection, users can apply heat shrink tubing after crimping, if desired.
