Orange Insulated Wire Ferrules - 20-22 AWG - 25 Pack
Wire fraying is a common issue when working with IEC (European)-style terminal blocks. It can weaken connections and lead to problems in electrical systems. Fortunately, using wire ferrules can effectively prevent this issue. Wire ferrules encapsulate stranded wire, providing a robust, solid connection that mimics solid wire performance. This is particularly crucial when engaging with IEC terminal blocks.
To use wire ferrules correctly, begin by stripping the wire to the appropriate length. Next, slide the ferrule onto the exposed wire, ensuring that the nylon casing meets the wire insulation. Once positioned, crimp the ferrule with the suitable tool; using the correct pressure is vital for establishing a secure connection. Once crimped, consider adding heat shrink tubing for extra protection, if desired.
