N2K Protect: Advanced NMEA 2000 Cyber Security Device
The increasing sophistication of connected boats raises significant security concerns. High-profile automotive hacks have illustrated vulnerabilities in CAN-based systems; hence, maritime cybersecurity is crucial.
In response to this, the NMEA Organisation established a Cyber Security Working Group to tackle and mitigate potential threats in marine technology.
N2K Protect is the world's first dedicated cyber security solution for NMEA 2000 networks, developed under this initiative.
This self-contained, unobtrusive black box, powered by the network itself, continuously analyzes and safeguards all data within the NMEA 2000 network.
