The high wide is the ideal choice for both inshore and pelagic fishing, where resolution and maximum coverage under the boat are essential down to 500'.
Because the transducer is installed almost flush to the hull, when the transducer is installed the tilt corrects for the hull deadrise and orients the ceramic element horizontally to assure maximum echo returns to the transducer.

The Airmar SS175C-20-HW-0 is a 1 kW thru-hull transducer designed for marine applications requiring depth and water temperature sensing. It operates within a high-frequency CHIRP range of 150 kHz to 250 kHz, providing a constant 25� beamwidth. This transducer is suitable for detecting fish and bottom detail down to a maximum depth of 152 meters (500 feet). Its high-wide beam design offers increased coverage under the boat, which can be beneficial for identifying fish in the upper water column and enhancing target separation. The stainless steel housing is compatible with fiberglass, wood, or metal hulls, including stepped, planing, or displacement types. It features a 20� tilt to compensate for hull deadrise between 16� and 24�, ensuring proper orientation for optimal echo returns. This model includes bare wire cabling and is recommended for boats up to 11 meters (36 feet) in length.
