Each of the three included routers supports the 802.11ac Wi-Fi network standard and operates on both the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequencies supporting wireless data transfer rates of up to 1200 Mb/s. In addition to wireless connectivity, each router also comes equipped with dual Gigabit Ethernet ports to connect Ethernet-enabled devices directly to the network. Once configured, the Covr Wi-Fi System allows clients to connect to a single network name or SSID and roam anywhere on the network, thanks to Smart Roaming, which hands off the wireless connection from router to router eliminating the need to log into a different network. This D-Link Wi-Fi system supports MU-MIMO technology giving multiple devices their own dedicated pathway to the network to help mitigate lag and buffering. D-Link also offers their own dedicated app available on both iOS and Android-based devices for quick and easy installation and network management.
