The Viking Electronics VK-E-40-SS-EWP is a compact, weather-resistant entry phone designed for secure and reliable communication in various business environments. This unit is suitable for IT and facilities managers requiring a robust access control or communication point at entrances, gates, or other controlled areas. It features a durable 18-gauge 304 stainless steel faceplate and a 316 stainless steel push button, engineered for vandal resistance. Enhanced Weather Protection (EWP) ensures the device meets IP66 ingress protection, making it suitable for outdoor or harsh indoor conditions. The entry phone flush mounts into a standard single-gang electrical box or can be surface mounted with an optional VE-3x5 enclosure. Key features include telephone line power, adjustable microphone and speaker volumes, and intelligent call progress detection for automatic disconnect. A blue LED indicates call status, aiding users in locating the push button and confirming operation. This product addresses the need for a durable, low-maintenance, and secure communication solution.
The VK-E-40-SS-EWP can be flush mounted into a single-gang electrical box (minimum 2.25" deep x 2.00" wide x 2.84" tall) or surface mounted using an optional Viking model VE-3x5 enclosure, which is not included.
This entry phone features Enhanced Weather Protection (EWP), including a Mylar speaker, faceplate and mic/speaker gaskets, an internally sealed (IP67) push button switch, and a self-draining mic mount. It is designed to meet an IP66 Ingress Protection Rating.
The VK-E-40-SS-EWP includes the stainless steel entry phone unit with a blue LED, featuring an 18-gauge 304 stainless steel faceplate and 316 stainless steel push button. Mounting screws are also included. The optional VE-3x5 surface mount box is sold separately.
The entry phone features programmable intelligent call progress detection, allowing for automatic hang-up based on CPC (Calling Party Control), silence, busy signals, or a pre-set time-out period.
