The junction box comes equipped with molded nylon connector strips that securely clamp wires using screw compression without the need for lugs, making them ideal for electronic installations. The brass barrels effectively hold wires in place with a stainless steel ‘finger’ that is compressed by a screw, ensuring wires are protected from cuts and breakage, thus meeting ABYC standards.

It includes a six-position connector strip with captive screw compression terminals, accommodating wire gauges up to 16. The design incorporates molded nylon strips and brass barrels with stainless steel 'fingers' to secure wires, preventing cuts and breakage in accordance with ABYC standards. With five cable entry ports, including three pre-installed and two spares, it supports cable diameters from 0.14 to 0.81 inches, providing flexibility for various cable management needs.
The Newmar PX-1 Waterproof Junction Box has an IEC Waterproof Rating of IP55. This rating indicates it is protected against dust ingress sufficient to prevent interference with the satisfactory operation of the equipment and against water projected in jets against the enclosure from any direction.
The junction box includes one connector strip with six positions, featuring captive screw compression terminals. It also comes with three installed cable entry ports and two spare entries, along with a snap-on cover to ensure a watertight seal.
