Mix and Match 1kW transducers are made as a common base transducer with a short (2m) cable attached, plus an interchangeable longer (8m) brand-specific adapter cable. The short pigtail attached to the transducer ends in an Airmar 9-pin male connector. The adapter cables have a matching Airmar 9-pin female connector at one end and the correct connector for a specific brand of electronics at the other end.

Both parts are needed for an installation. If the user changes equipment brand at some later time, the transducer can be left in place and the adapter cable replaced.

Note: 1kW Mix and Match cables cannot be used with 600W transducers or CHIRP transducers.

The Airmar MM1-DST-8G Mix and Match� Garmin Blue 8-Pin Cable is an interconnect cable designed for specific marine electronics installations. This 8-meter adapter cable facilitates the connection between a 1kW Mix and Match base transducer and Garmin equipment requiring an 8-pin blue connector. It features an Airmar 9-pin female connector on one end, designed to mate with the 2-meter pigtail cable attached to a compatible Airmar 1kW transducer. The other end provides the necessary Garmin 8-pin male connector. This system allows for the transducer to remain installed if the electronics brand is changed, requiring only the replacement of the brand-specific adapter cable. It is important to note that this cable is exclusively for 1kW Mix and Match transducers and is not compatible with 600W or CHIRP transducers. Both the transducer and this adapter cable are required for a complete installation.
