This 50/125�m duplex Low-Water-Peak Multimode Fiber (LOMMF) cable is optimized for 100G networks and supports an extended 850-953nm VCSEL wavelength range. This extended range facilitates Shortwave Wavelength Division Multiplexing (SWDM), offering enhanced channel isolation and performance compared to OM4 cables. It features UPC-polished ends to minimize return loss and includes molded strain reliefs for durability. The bend-insensitive fiber core is housed within an Aramid-reinforced Low Smoke Zero Halogen (LSZH) jacket, providing a loaded bend radius of 6cm and an unloaded bend radius of 3cm. This cable is suitable for connecting fiber switches, servers, Storage Area Networks (SANs), and SFP+/QSFP+/QSFP28 units in data centers and enterprise environments requiring reliable, high-speed optical connectivity.
This OM5 multimode fiber optic cable is optimized for 100G networks and also supports 40G applications.
The cable features LC to LC (UPC) connectors on both ends, which are UPC-polished for minimal return loss.
The cable uses an Aramid-reinforced Low Smoke Zero Halogen (LSZH) jacket. LSZH jackets are important in enclosed spaces as they emit less smoke and no toxic halogens when exposed to fire, enhancing safety.
