The Nomad 2 is a portable AIS transponder designed for both recreational boaters and professional mariners. This full-function Class B transponder features a wireless and USB interface compatible with tablets and PCs, all in a compact and portable design.

With an innovative USB power solution, the Nomad can be powered from any standard USB source, including affordable battery packs, USB PC connections, or 12V USB adaptors. It comes with a combination AIS and GPS antenna, allowing for use below decks across various vessels—leisure or commercial.

Users can easily access and modify vessel details (including MMSI number and boat name), network settings, and even merge its WiFi with existing onboard networks.

The unit also provides the ability to view received NMEA data through its web interface, aiding in quick fault-finding. Moreover, it supports TCP and UDP network protocols for enhanced compatibility with various applications.
