The Viking Electronics VK-PA-2A is a paging loud ringer system designed for business environments requiring enhanced audio alerts and communication. This unit provides two watts of paging power and supports background music from an external source. The system offers four distinct loud ringing sounds: electronic warble, double gong, quadruple chime, and door chime, which can be activated by 1-6 ringing lines. It also features an output for controlling a 12V relay and a 600-ohm output for integration with high-powered amplifiers. The VK-PA-2A system includes one 25AE 8 ohm paging horn. The unit can support a maximum of three such horns.
All lines on the VK-PA-2A are optically coupled, allowing for use with fax switches and analog PABX/KSU stations. Paging can be initiated from an unused trunk port or a dedicated paging port.
This system is designed to provide loud ringing or night bell functionality for 1-6 lines in environments such as warehouses, yards, or other large areas where standard telephone ringing may not be heard effectively.
