It addresses common network needs such as traffic prioritization through Port Based/802.1p Based QoS with 4 priority queues and rate limiting. For network segmentation and security, it supports up to 32 VLANs simultaneously. Additional L2 features include IGMP Snooping, Link Aggregation, Port Mirroring, Cable Diagnostics, and Loop Prevention. With a MAC Address Table of 8K and 2Mb packet buffer memory, it handles a packet forwarding rate of 7.4Mpps. Its compact dimensions and external power supply make it suitable for desktop deployment where space is limited and quiet operation is preferred.
The switch is compatible with UTP category 3, 4, 5 cable for 10BASE-T; UTP category 5, 5e cable for 100BASE-TX; and UTP category 5, 5e, 6 or above cable for 1000BASE-T, all up to 100m. EIA/TIA-568 100 STP is also supported for all speeds.
