Permatex Threadlocker RED - Permanent Strength Sealant 36ml

This high-strength, dual-purpose threadlocker is designed for fasteners ranging from 3/8" to 1" (10mm to 25mm), ideal for applications requiring durability against heavy shock, vibration, and extreme conditions. It is also effective for sealing cylindrical metal assemblies. Localized heating and hand tools are necessary to separate bonded parts. Complies with ASTM D5363 AN0331 (Mil-S- 46163A, Type II, Grade O).

Applications:

• Automobile uses include securing cylinder block bolts, ring gear bolts, transmission shaft bolts, as well as engine block cup and core plugs, water pump seals, and hub and shaft assemblies.

Instructions:

1. Prepare by cleaning and drying parts with Permatex® Surface Prep™ activator.
2. Shake the bottle well before each use.
3. Remove the cap and snip the nozzle tip.
4. Apply the threadlocker to threaded areas and assemble parts. For cup/core applications, apply sealant to both parts as needed. Refer to the Technical Data Sheet for further information.

Note: Suitable for metal parts only; not recommended for plastic. Cured threadlocker requires heating to 500°F (260°C) for separation.
