The StarTech.com HDMI Over IP Extender supports a maximum video resolution of 1920 x 1080 (Full HD) and has a maximum operating distance of 164.04 feet (50 meters) over twisted pair cabling.
Control of the video network configurations can be managed via rotary DIP switches, a computer connected to the transmitter or receiver via a serial cable, over IP using any browser-equipped device on the same local area network, or with the included infrared (IR) remote control.
The package includes one HDMI Over IP Transmitter, one HDMI Over IP Receiver, two universal power adapters, two mounting brackets, two CAT5 cables, a plastic screwdriver, an IR remote control, two USB-A to Mini USB-B cables, a DB9 to 2.5 mm serial adapter cable, an IR blaster, an IR receiver, eight rubber feet, and an instruction manual.
The extender supports Twisted Pair media, specifically Category 6 (CAT6) cable, for extending the HDMI signal over the local area network.
