Tilted element transducers have the element fixed at either a 20°, 12° or 0° angle within the transducer housing. Because the transducer is installed almost flush to the hull, when the transducer is installed the tilt corrects for the hull deadrise and orients the ceramic element horizontally to assure maximum echo returns to the transducer.

Featuring a low-profile stainless steel housing, the SS175C-20-HW-8G is suitable for fiberglass, wood, or metal hulls, including stepped, planing, or displacement types, on boats up to 11 meters (36 feet). The 20� tilted element corrects for hull deadrise up to 24�, ensuring proper orientation for optimal echo returns. It includes an 8-pin Garmin connector and Airmar's Xducer ID� technology.
