  • Also available in a bronze housing (B175L) model for use in fiberglass and wood hulls
  • Exclusive Xducer ID® technology

Airmar’s low profile Chirp-ready transducer models are the perfect addition to smaller boats such as center consoles. The low frequency band is the deep water performer delivering excellent coverage and tracking in deeper depths. The SS175L transducer delivers up to 20 kHz of total bandwidth in just one installation and delivers tremendous deep water performance.

Tilted element transducers have the ceramic element fixed at either a 20°, 12° or 0° angle within the transducer housing. The transducer is installed almost flush to the hull and the tilted element corrects for the hull deadrise by orienting the beam directly down. This assures maximum echo returns to the transducer and more accurate depth readings.

Expert Overview

The Airmar SS175C-0-L 0d Tilt Low CHIRP Transducer is a specialized marine hardware component designed for depth and water temperature sensing on vessels up to 11 meters (36 feet). This thru-hull transducer, identified by part number SS175C-0-L-9N, operates within a low-frequency band of 40 kHz to 60 kHz, providing depth performance up to 762 meters (2500 feet). Its 0-degree tilted element design is suitable for hulls with a deadrise between 0 and 7 degrees, ensuring the beam is oriented directly downwards for accurate readings. The stainless steel housing allows for installation on fiberglass, wood, or metal hulls, including stepped, planing, or displacement types. This unit is intended for IT and marine professionals requiring reliable deep-water performance and fast-response temperature data, particularly on smaller center console boats where a low-profile installation is beneficial. It integrates with Navico 9-pin systems and features Xducer ID technology.
