The CRUX SOOGM-16 wire harness facilitates the installation of aftermarket radios in General Motors LAN 29-Bit vehicles from 2006 onwards. This product is designed for IT and automotive technicians requiring a solution to integrate new audio systems while preserving essential factory features. It ensures the retention of OnStar functionality, steering wheel controls, and warning chimes. The harness supports both Bose amplified and non-amplified systems, and maintains factory Bluetooth in vehicles from 2008-upwards if equipped with a new OnStar device. It also supports the retention of rear seat entertainment (requiring cable #CRUX2333A, sold separately), back-up camera, and independently-controlled dual-zone functions. The SOOGM16 addresses the common challenge of upgrading vehicle audio without sacrificing critical OEM features, providing a plug-and-ready connection for streamlined installation.
This harness is compatible with various GM LAN 29-Bit vehicles from 2006-up, including specific models from Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet, GMC, Hummer, Pontiac, Saturn, and Suzuki. For example, it supports the 2008-14 Buick Enclave, 2007-14 Cadillac Escalade, and 2007-14 Chevrolet Silverado.
The CRUX SOOGM-16 retains OnStar, steering wheel controls, factory warning chimes, and both Bose amplified and non-amplified systems. It also retains factory Bluetooth in 2008-up vehicles with a new OnStar device, rear seat entertainment (with separate cable), back-up camera, and dual-zone functions.
This harness does not retain factory XM radio. Additionally, it is not compatible with 2012-up SUVs/trucks equipped with factory-installed navigation radios; for those vehicles, the SOOGM-16A model is required.
To retain Rear Seat Entertainment, Audio/Video functionality, a separate cable, CRUX2333A, is required and sold separately. The main harness provides the necessary connections for other retained features.
