The SmartFind S5A AIS is a manual deployment Search and Rescue Transponder (SART) designed for use on life rafts and survival craft. It fulfills international SOLAS standards and serves as an upgrade from traditional radar SARTs.
This compact and user-friendly device comes in a quick-release carry-off bag, enabling rescue authorities and nearby AIS-equipped vessels to pinpoint the survival craft's location.
Upon activation, the SmartFind S5A transmits vital survivor information, including structured alert messages, GPS coordinates, and a serialized identity number. It broadcasts continuously for a minimum of 96 hours, with an integrated high-precision GNSS receiver ensuring accurate positioning to aid in locating the survival craft.
Designed for versatility, it can be mounted on the ship's bridge or stored in a survival craft. The highly visible, buoyant carry case offers exceptional protection.
