SIM100 Switch Status Monitoring Module

Maretron's Switch Status Monitoring Module, the SIM100, is designed to monitor various switch closure devices such as safety equipment (heat, smoke, carbon monoxide, and explosive vapor detectors), security systems (motion, vibration, glass break, and magnetic switches), as well as vessel monitoring equipment (including valve status and high water bilge detection). The SIM100 continuously monitors these devices and communicates their states over the NMEA 2000 network, alerting the crew to potential issues that may require further scrutiny.

With advanced features, the SIM100 can detect power disconnections from monitored devices or signal wire disconnections due to corrosion, tampering, or other causes, provided the monitored device is equipped with such capabilities. This ensures that critical sensors maintain effective power, signal integrity, and consistent supervision of all safety, security, and vessel functions.
