Raritan's onboard sewage treatment device is legal for use in areas not classified as a Federal NDZ. It effectively neutralizes waste, making it sanitary and safe for both boaters and marine life. This system is designed for use with all toilets in salt, fresh, or brackish water.

The Purasan EX operates as a flow-through system, where the toilet connects to the tank, and the tank connects to the thru-hull. With each flush, waste enters the tank, where a small amount of disinfectant is introduced to neutralize it. In tandem, an equal amount of treated waste is expelled overboard.
