The PSS PRO Mechanical Shaft Seal is engineered with advanced components including stainless steel and carbon, reinforced silicone bellows, and a secondary shaft retention collar. It features durable 316 Stainless Steel hose clamps and an optional Nitronic 50 rotor upgrade for exceptional performance in harsh environments. Designed to withstand high pressure and corrosive conditions, this specialized mechanical seal is perfect for a wide range of demanding applications.

This shaft seal maintains a reliable interface between the stainless-steel rotor and the stationary carbon flange. The unique design incorporates a heavy-duty silicone bellows, securely attached to the vessel’s stern tube. This configuration allows for compensation of axial movement due to propeller thrust and ensures alignment with minimized vibration. The stainless-steel rotor is fitted onto the shaft and compresses the bellows, with set screws and a retention collar maintaining stability. O-rings integrated into the rotor ensure a seal without wear during operation, enhancing longevity and reliability.
