This pigmented, solvent-based primer enhances adhesion for paints and plastics. Sika® Primer-209 D reacts with moisture to create a thin, effective layer that serves as a bonding interface between various substrates and adhesives. It's specifically designed for the treatment of surfaces prior to applying Sika’s one-component Polyurethanes, providing strong adhesion on select plastic substrates without the need for prior activation.

Areas of Application:

Sika® Primer-209 D is ideal for improving adhesion on multiple plastics and paints, including GRP, epoxy resins, PVC, ABS, PMMA, PC, PS, as well as alkyds/melamine, powder coatings, and baking varnishes. Due to the diverse nature of plastics, preliminary tests on original substrates under actual production conditions are essential.
