This unit allows for the retention of critical factory features when the original radio is replaced with an aftermarket car radio, camera, car audio player, car amplifier, or antenna. It is suitable for IT departments or automotive service providers managing vehicle fleet upgrades or repairs where maintaining factory functionality is essential. The OS-5 ensures the OnStar system remains operational and retains the factory-installed Bose amplifier, if present. It also generates safety warning chimes and audible turn signal indicators. This interface addresses the challenge of integrating aftermarket audio and navigation systems while preserving key vehicle safety and convenience features, including rear seat audio controls, factory Bluetooth (for 2009+ models), and backup sensor/camera signals. Firmware is updateable via USB using PAC-UP.
