The Eaton Tripplite N482-3M8-LC12 is a Series 40/100GB breakout cassette designed for data center and enterprise network applications. This component facilitates the conversion of high-speed fiber optic connections into multiple lower-speed links. Specifically, it supports breaking out a 40GB MTP/MPO connection into four 10GB LC duplex connections, or a 100GB MTP/MPO connection into four 25GB LC duplex connections. It features three 8-fiber OM4 MTP/MPO (male with pins) connectors on one side, and twelve LC duplex connectors on the other. This Type-B polarity cassette is suitable for IT professionals and network architects needing to integrate existing 10GB or 25GB infrastructure with newer 40GB or 100GB MTP/MPO-based equipment, optimizing port utilization and simplifying cable management in high-density environments.
