MC100CM - Tplink 10/100MBPS MULTI-MODE MEDIA CONVERTER

The TPLINK MC100CM is a 10/100Mbps multi-mode media converter designed to bridge copper-based Ethernet networks with fiber optic cabling. This device facilitates the extension of network segments over distances up to 2km using multi-mode fiber. It supports both half and full-duplex transfer modes for the fiber port and includes full-duplex flow control (IEEE 802.3x) and half-duplex flow control (Backpressure) to manage data transmission efficiently. The converter features one 100M SC port for fiber connection and one 100M RJ45 port with Auto MDI/MDIX for copper Ethernet. It is suitable for IT environments requiring the integration of existing copper infrastructure with fiber optic backbones, or for extending network reach beyond the limitations of copper cabling, particularly in campus or building-to-building scenarios. Link Fault Passthrough and Far End Fault features are included to help minimize service disruptions.
