Raymarine Type 2 24v Mechanical Linear Drive
This robust linear drive is designed for vessels weighing up to 15,000 kg (33,000 lbs). It features a maximum stroke of 300 mm (12 inches) and operates on 24v DC systems. Compatible with the ACU-400 autopilot system, this drive guarantees powerful thrust and quiet operation for seamless navigation.
Mounted beneath the deck, the mechanical linear drive directly engages the rudder by applying force to the tiller arm or rudder quadrant. When the autopilot system is turned off, the drive's electro-mechanical clutch disengages, facilitating effortless hand-steering.
The fixed end of the drive is affixed to the boat's structural members, while the dynamic end connects to the rudder using a separate tiller arm. Please note that additional accessory fittings from your steering system provider may be necessary for complete installation.
