icom M510BB Black Box VHF with HM195GB Black CommandMic
Model: M510 BB 21 USAIcom’s M510BB is perfect for boats that need AIS receive functionality without taking up precious helm space. The supplied CommandMic™ provides all the safety and communication functions for commercial and leisure boaters.
The M510BB consists of a CommandMic™ and black box RF unit. Use the CommandMic™ for all operations including DSC. Install the RF unit out of sight, place up to 60 ft (18.3 m)* away from the CommandMic™.
Add up to two additional CommandMic™ microphones for boats requiring two or three comms stations. Extend communication points around the boat including the cockpit, fly bridge, and tower. Access the intercom functions for one-to-all or one-to-one communications on the boat.
The M510BB includes an integrated AIS receiver, perfect for remote station information via the CommandMic™, or integrated into the NMEA 2000® bus to display radar and chart plotter information on an MFD (Multi-Function Display).
In addition to the conveniently located DSC button on the back of every CommandMic™, the M510BB introduces a dedicated DSC Remote Control (EN 300 338-8 compatible) terminal, allowing a connection to an external device to centralize emergency communications control.
The M510BB has a last call voice recording function automatically saves up to two minutes of an incoming call.
The NMEA 2000® network provides plug-and-play data communication to inter-connect other marine equipment such as an MFD (Multi-Function Display). The radio can send AIS, GNSS (GPS) position, DSC call, and radio channels to other equipment.
On the back of every CommandMic™ is a conveniently located DSC button. Once triggered, the M510BB transmits a DSC alert signal to nearby vessels with the MMSI* and GPS location of your vessel. *MMSI number must be obtained and programmed for each vessel/radio.
The built-in 15W amplifier increases the audio output of an external hailer speaker. The one-way RX hailer function enables you to broadcast radio traffic through the hailer speaker to listen to radio traffic on the deck or tower. You can also sound foghorn patterns from the hailer speaker.
The Active Noise Cancelling function digitally removes background noise from transmitting and receiving audio to provide clear communications in noisy maritime environments.

The Icom M510BB 21 USA is a black box VHF marine radio system designed for commercial and leisure vessels requiring AIS receive functionality without occupying significant helm space. This system separates the RF unit, which can be installed out of sight, from the CommandMic, which provides all operational controls. It is suitable for boats needing flexible communication points, as it supports up to three CommandMics for use in locations such as the cockpit, fly bridge, or tower, facilitating intercom functions. The integrated AIS receiver allows for remote station information display via the CommandMic or integration into an NMEA 2000 bus for MFD display. Key features include a dedicated DSC Remote Control terminal for centralized emergency communications, a last call voice recording function, and NMEA 2000 network compatibility for data communication with other marine equipment. The M510BB also incorporates a 15W amplifier for an external hailer speaker, offering one-way RX hailer and foghorn capabilities, alongside active noise cancelling for clear audio in challenging environments.
The M510BB system includes a CommandMic and a black box RF unit. The CommandMic provides all operational controls for the radio.
The CommandMic can be installed up to 60 feet (18.3 meters) away from the RF unit, allowing the RF unit to be placed out of sight.
Yes, the M510BB can support up to two additional CommandMic microphones, allowing for a total of three communication stations on the boat. This also enables intercom functions between stations.
The transmitter offers selectable output power settings of 25 W (High) or 1 W (Low) at 13.8V DC.
