Faria Beede Instruments, Inc. has been manufacturing World Class Instrumentation in Uncasville, CT for more than 60 years (Established in 1956 as the Thomas G. Faria Corporation) and has grown from a company that primarily produced tachometers for the marine and auto industries into a company that today offers a multitude of analog and digital engine monitoring instrumentation to a wide range of global markets.\n\nIn the early 1960s Faria Instruments started producing tachometers with the Ford Motor Company. The first application was for the Comet Rally Pack and the Falcon Sprint. Faria later designed and developed tachometers for the famed Mustang and Shelby Cobra. During this time the company was supplying tachometers for manufacturers like Volkswagen of America, Chrysler Corp and is proud to have received the Ford Q1 Award from the Ford Motor Company. The Ford Q1 Award designates the recipient as having achieved excellence in ongoing performance and customer satisfaction.\n\nBy the Late 1970s Farias customer base expanded to include such equipment manufactures as Caterpillar, Allis Chalmers, International Harvester, Bobcat and other stationary power equipment and Gen-set manufacturers, all who found the instruments to be rugged enough to withstand the most harsh environments.\n\nIn the 1980's, Faria became a major supplier of instrumentation to the US Military and is one of only a few companies that has received the ABVM Gold supplier award for on time delivery and quality for seven consecutive years. Of course Quality has always been our first concern.\n\nIn 1997, the Thomas G. Faria Corporation became an ISO9001 registered company. Today we continue to maintain the same commitment to Quality as we introduce new technology to meet the growing needs of our customers.\n\nFaria developed the first programmable electronic speedometer for motorcycles, ATVs and snowmobiles, in the 1990's and was a major supplier to Harley Davidson and Polaris. It was during this period the company started to offer its instrumentation to the recreational boat industry. Faria continues as the leading supplier of instruments to the recreational boat market.
