The Raritan 2-Gallon Salt Feed Unit, part number 31-3001, is designed to support the operation of LectraSan� treatment systems in brackish water environments. This unit addresses the challenge of insufficient water salinity, which can prevent the LectraSan� system from functioning optimally. While ocean water naturally provides adequate salinity, brackish conditions require a supplemental salt solution. The 2-gallon tank allows for the preparation and storage of this solution. During operation, a controlled amount of the salt solution is mixed with incoming water each time a toilet is flushed, thereby increasing the salinity within the LectraSan� treatment tank to the necessary levels. The LectraSan� Control Indicator Panel provides a low salt alert, signaling when the feed tank requires refilling. This system is intended for marine applications where consistent salinity levels are crucial for the effective performance of the LectraSan� unit.
