DT800 NMEA 2000 Bronze Retractable Long Stem Thru-Hull with Depth & Temperature
The DT800 utilizes Airmar’s proven Tilted Element and broadband technologies in this depth and temperature Smart™ Sensor. The DT800 is a long-stemmed, low-profile, retractable, thru-hull sensor that accurately computes depth and temperature data and sends it to any NMEA 2000® network. Airmar's Smart™ Sensors have embedded microelectronics—the transducer element and signal processor are only millimeters apart. The signal from the depth transducer is processed right inside the sensor itself. All that is needed to receive depth and temperature data is a single cable into a compatible network or display.
The ceramic is tilted inside the housing, compensating for hull deadrise and orienting the transducer beam straight down. This results in strong echo returns and accurate depth readings. The DT800 is sold with a choice of rugged housings—plastic, bronze, or stainless steel—to accommodate any vessel type or hull material. These low-profile housings do not affect hull performance and will give accurate readings at high speeds. The housing features a water valve that minimizes water entering the boat when the retractable insert is being removed and replaced with the blanking plug.

Specifications:
The Airmar DT800 NMEA 2000 Bronze Ret retractable Long Stem Thru-Hull sensor provides depth and temperature data for NMEA 2000 networks. This unit is designed for business and IT buyers in marine environments, particularly those managing systems on cruising/racing sailboats, leisure/yachting vessels, or fishing boats. It integrates Airmar's Tilted Element and broadband technologies to deliver accurate readings. The DT800 features embedded microelectronics, processing transducer signals directly within the sensor to simplify installation to a single cable connection. Its 235 kHz frequency helps prevent interference with other onboard echosounders. The bronze housing is suitable for fiberglass or wood hulls and is designed for low-profile thru-hull mounting, accommodating up to 12 of deadrise without a fairing, or up to 28 with one. The retractable insert includes a water valve to minimize ingress during maintenance. The part number for this specific configuration is DT800L-235-N2.
The Airmar DT800 sensor is NMEA 2000 standard, providing a direct connection to any compatible NMEA 2000 network or display via its NMEA 2000 Micro display connector.
This sensor is capable of providing depth readings from 0.5 meters (1.6 feet) up to 180 meters (590 feet).
The bronze housing for the DT800 is compatible with fiberglass or wood hull materials.
The usable shaft length for this long-stemmed thru-hull sensor is 102 mm (4.00 inches).
