The Digi ConnectPort WAN VPN is a robust, upgradeable 3G cellular router designed for secure and high-speed wireless connectivity to remote sites and devices. It is ideal for applications in utilities, industrial automation, retail, financial services (ATMs), traffic management, medical settings, and video surveillance.
With support for both CDMA EvDO Rev. A and GSM HSDPA/UMTS 3G networks, the ConnectPort provides primary broadband connectivity or can serve as a backup for existing landline communications. The device features an upgradeable wireless network platform that allows for future migration to advanced 3G technologies. It is equipped with two RS-232 serial ports for legacy device connections and a built-in four-port Ethernet switch for connecting additional TCP/IP network devices.
Digi Connectware Manager provides comprehensive remote device management capabilities, facilitating easy monitoring and configuration of multiple devices. For secure connections, the router incorporates an integrated IPsec VPN client/server for true end-to-end data protection. The device is ready for provisioning on the Sprint network.
