12 Circuit Bypass Module for NMEA 2000
The Maretron 12 Circuit Bypass Module (CBMD12) is designed for manual control of electrical loads in marine and other applications. It serves as an essential backup in the event of a malfunction in the DC Load Controller Module (CLMD12) or a failure in the NMEA 2000 network.
With a maximum current capacity of 75 amps for both 12V and 24V DC systems, the CBMD12 features 12 Carling Curvette Rocker Switches allowing for ON/OFF control of each load. This setup not only prevents arcing during manual operation but also eliminates the need to move fuses, which can degrade electrical connections over time.
Please ensure that the current ratings for associated fuses are appropriate to safeguard both the load and the wiring. Note that each circuit is controlled independently, therefore parallel outputs are not supported, and dimming capability is not available.
The Maretron 12 Circuit Bypass Module, part number CBMD12, provides a manual control solution for electrical loads in marine and similar DC power systems. This module is designed for IT and operations personnel who require a reliable backup mechanism for NMEA 2000 networks or DC Load Controller Module (CLMD12) malfunctions. It enables independent ON/OFF control of 12 circuits via Carling Curvette Rocker Switches, supporting both 12V and 24V DC systems with a maximum current capacity of 75 amps. The CBMD12 helps maintain system functionality during network outages or controller failures, preventing arcing during manual operation and eliminating the need for fuse relocation. It is suitable for applications where direct, independent control of multiple DC loads is critical for operational continuity.
