The BI-1602 is designed for use with 10 to 350 amp alternators on 12V, 24V, or 32V negative ground systems. This solid-state device effectively allows one alternator to charge two batteries, ensuring optimal energy management onboard.

Key Features:

• Connects 1 alternator to 2 batteries with a maximum rating of 160A.
• Prevents backflow of current, protecting both batteries from discharging into each other.
• Automatic battery charging in proportion to their needs when the engine is running.
• Compatible with selector switches, eliminating the need to change switch positions for charging.
• Efficient current proportioning to each battery, independent of the switch settings.

Important Note: This isolator should not be used on 12-volt systems with 24-volt trolling motors or newer outboard engines using rectifier-regulator charging systems.
