Product Overview

Airmar B75C-12-L 12d Tilt Low CHIRP with Garmin 12-Pin Mix-N-Match Cable

Model: B75C-12-L-12G
  • Depth & fast-response water-temperature sensor
  • Low—CHIRPS from 40 kHz to 75 kHz, 32° to 21° beamwidth
  • 300 W of power with a maximum depth of 353 m (1200')
  • Great deep-water performance
  • Low-profile, thru-hull housing provides good display resolution at speed when installed properly
  • Recommended for stepped, planing, or displacement hull
  • Bronze housing for use in a fiberglass or wood hull

Airmar’s low-profile, Chirp-ready transducer models are the perfect addition to smaller boats such as center consoles. The low-frequency band, operating between 40 and 75 kHz, is a deep-water performer, providing excellent coverage and tracking. The B75L transducer delivers up to 35 kHz of total bandwidth in just one installation.

When the transducer is installed almost flush to the hull, the tilt of the element corrects for the hull deadrise, orienting the beam directly down. This ensures maximum echo returns to the transducer for more accurate depth readings.

Provides greater depth range, wider beamwidth, and ultimately more coverage under the boat

Chirp signal processing technology used with AIRMAR broadband, Chirp-ready transducers provides more detail at greater depths and is less susceptible to noise

Great for operating at high boat speeds

Expert Overview

The Airmar B75C-12-L 12d Tilt Low CHIRP transducer is designed for marine applications requiring accurate depth and water temperature data. This thru-hull unit, part number B75C-12-L-12G, is suitable for smaller vessels, including center consoles, with fiberglass or wood hulls. It features a bronze housing and a low-profile design, which helps maintain display resolution at speed when correctly installed on stepped, planing, or displacement hulls. The transducer operates in the low-frequency CHIRP band, from 40 kHz to 75 kHz, with a beamwidth ranging from 32 to 21. With a 300 W power rating, it provides a maximum depth capability of 366 meters (1200 feet). The 12-degree tilted element corrects for hull deadrise between 8 and 16 degrees, ensuring the beam is directed straight down for optimal echo returns. This model includes a Garmin 12-pin Mix-N-Match cable for connectivity.
