Product Overview

Airmar B175 CHIRP High Frequency 0 Tilt Transducer

Model: B175C-0-H-HB

  • Depth & fast-response water-temperature sensor
  • High CHIRP frequency from 150 kHz to 210 kHz
  • Suitable for boats 8 m (25') and above
  • 80 kHz of total bandwidth from one transducer
  • Covers popular fishing frequency of 200 kHz plus additional bandwidth
  • Compatible with fiberglass or wood hull types

The transducer features permanently tilted ceramic elements within the housing to compensate for the hull deadrise, ensuring the beam is directed straight down for optimal echo returns and eliminating the need for additional fairing.

Flush/tilted transducers are designed to mount through a hole drilled in any fiberglass, metal, or wooden hull, with the exterior fitting flush against the hull's surface. Internally, the transducers elements are angled to compensate for the hulls deadrise, directing the sonar beam straight down.

High frequency facilitates greater detail (ex. 130-210 kHz) with increased sensitivity to smaller targets, providing crisp, high-resolution images on the echosounder screen. This model is ideal for shallow waters and popular among anglers fishing in depths of less than 1500 feet.

Specifications:
  • Deadrise: 0 to 7
  • Acoustic Window: Urethane
  • Power Rating: 1 kW @ 1% duty cycle
  • Frequency: 130 to 210 kHz (Broadband)
  • Beam: 10 to 6
  • Max Depth: 1000 ft
What's in the Box:
  • B175C-0-H-MM Transducer
  • MMC-HB Mix and Match Cable

Expert Overview

The Airmar B175C 0 Tilt Transducer, part number B175C-0-H-HB, is a marine transducer designed for IT hardware buyers supporting commercial or recreational vessels. This unit provides depth and fast-response water temperature sensing. It operates with a high CHIRP frequency range of 150 kHz to 210 kHz, offering 80 kHz of total bandwidth from a single transducer. This frequency range is suitable for detailed imaging in shallow waters and is effective for identifying smaller targets, with a maximum depth capability of 1000 feet. The transducer is compatible with fiberglass or wood hull types and is recommended for boats 8 meters (25 feet) and above. Its 0 tilt design incorporates permanently tilted ceramic elements to compensate for hull deadrise between 0 and 7, ensuring the sonar beam is directed straight down without requiring an external fairing block. This flush-mount design simplifies installation by fitting directly into a drilled hull opening.
