If using on very old laser models, you may utilize the existing fixing holes for the alloy clamcleat. If no holes are available, position the cleat base behind the mast along the centerline, measure 437mm back from the mast slot, and drill a 4mm pilot hole to accept a 5mm self-tapping screw (not included).
Loosely fit the screw, then align again along the centerline; mark and drill the second fixing hole. Remove the cleat base and seal the screw holes with sealant before final installation.
The distance to the first fixing hole center from the back of the mast slot is 437mm.
