The STARTECH 5G16AINDS-USB-A-HUB is an industrial-grade USB 3.0 hub designed for environments requiring robust USB connectivity and device management. It provides 16 USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 downstream ports, offering a shared 5Gbps bandwidth for data transfer. A key feature is its dual-host switch, enabling two computers to share access to the connected USB devices, which can be beneficial in testbed or shared peripheral setups. The hub includes a 10-foot host cable for flexible placement. With Level-4 ESD protection (15kV air/8kV contact), it is built to withstand electrical discharge in demanding operational settings. Mounting options are versatile, supporting 19-inch EIA-310 rack, wall, desk, or DIN-rail installations. Powering is achieved via a DC barrel connection or terminal block, requiring a 12-24V DC source (not included). Each port supports BC 1.2 charging at 7.5W, provided a suitable power adapter is used.
