Sikaflex® 292i Adhesive - 10oz Tube - White

Sikaflex® 292i is a high-performance, non-sag, one-component polyurethane adhesive that cures upon exposure to atmospheric moisture. It boasts excellent adhesion and mechanical strength, making it suitable for a variety of applications. In compliance with the International Maritime Organisation (IMO), it meets low spread of flame requirements.

Applications:

Sikaflex® 292i is ideal for structural joints in marine applications under high dynamic stress, effectively bonding metals (including anodized aluminum), metal primers, ceramic materials, and various plastics such as GRP and ABS. Testing for material compatibility is essential before application.

Surface Preparation:

Ensure surfaces are clean, dry, and free from contaminants such as grease and dust. Proper surface treatment is essential for a strong bond. Refer to the Sika® Pre-treatment Chart for guidance.

Application Conditions:

Sikaflex® 292i can be applied within a temperature range of 10 °C to 40 °C. For optimal results, conditions should be maintained between 15 °C and 25 °C. Viscosity increases at lower temperatures, so precondition the adhesive before use.

Tooling & Finishing:

Complete tooling and finishing within the skin time of the sealant using Sika® Tooling Agent N. Always test other agents for compatibility prior to use.

Cleanup:

Uncured Sikaflex® 292i can be cleaned off tools with Sika® Remover-208 or a suitable solvent. Cured material requires mechanical removal. Clean skin immediately with Sika® Cleaner-350H or a suitable hand cleaner. Avoid using solvents directly on the skin.
