The Total Access 616 T1 TDM with DSX-1 System is designed for high-performance communication needs. It supports a single T1 TDM network interface, providing a seamless migration path to packet-based technologies such as ATM through a simple software download. The system is equipped with the necessary resources for Echo Cancellation (G.168) and ADPCM (G.726) compression, which are essential for upgrading to T1 ATM.
This unit offers a variety of port configurations, including fixed FXS ports (available in 4, 8, 12, 16, or 24 ports) and optional FXO ports (available in TA 624 with up to 8 ports). It features a 50-pin female Amphenol connector for Carrier Class analog POTS interfaces.
The integral IP router operates via a 10/100BaseT Ethernet connection and supports multiple protocols, including DHCP, NAT/PAT, packet filtering, RIP V1/V2, and Layer 2 PPP. It also features a V.35 synchronous DTE interface, ensuring robust functionality.
Included with this unit is assured dialtone with Lifeline POTS, housed in a durable metal casing. Users can enjoy a 10-year warranty, and an AC power source is standard with the option for battery backup, which can be purchased separately or bundled with the base unit.
