The Total Access 616 T1 ATM with DSX-1 is a robust network interface designed specifically for VoATM and VoIP applications. It features high-quality Echo Cancellation (G.168) and ADPCM (G.726) compression resources to ensure optimal performance.
Upgrading from a 2nd Generation TA 612/616/624 T1 TDM to ATM requires the installation of an additional Echo Cancellation module, unless it was originally included. The device supports flexible configurations with fixed FXS ports available in 4, 8, 12, 16, or 24 ports.
Connectivity is facilitated through a 50-pin female amphenol connector for carrier-class analog POTS interfaces. The integral IP router operates via 10/100BaseT Ethernet and supports various advanced networking features, including DHCP, NAT/PAT, packet filtering, RIP V1/V2, and Layer 2 PPP. Additionally, a Frame Relay V.35 synchronous DTE interface is included.
Housed in a durable metal casing and backed by a 10-year warranty, this device is AC powered, with battery backup options available separately or as part of a bundled package.
