The Total Access 604 is a robust TDM network interface designed for seamless integration with T1-based systems. With a migration path to packet-based technologies such as ATM facilitated via a software download, this unit ensures versatility and efficiency.
It includes essential features such as Echo Cancellation (G.168) and ADPCM (G.726) compression resources, making it suitable for upgrades to T1 ATM. The configuration options offer fixed FXS ports ranging from 4 to 24, and optional FXO ports are available exclusively in the TA 624 model.
This product also boasts a 50-pin female Amphenol connector for Carrier Class analog POTS interfaces, an integral IP router supporting 10/100BaseT Ethernet, DHCP, NAT/PAT, packet filtering, RIP V1/V2, and a Layer 2 PPP and Frame Relay synchronous DTE interface. Moreover, it assures dial tone with lifeline POTS and comes in a durable metal casing with a 10-year warranty. AC power is standard, with battery backup available separately or bundled with the base unit.
