The NetVanta 1224STR DC is a versatile all-in-one access platform that integrates a 24-port Ethernet switch, an IP access router, a modular WAN interface with built-in NTU, a stateful inspection firewall, and the option for Virtual Private Networking (VPN) into a compact 1U chassis.

This device delivers 24-port Fast Ethernet switching, along with an additional 1000Base-T/SFP Gigabit port for uplink or stacking. It features managed Layer 2 Fast Ethernet capabilities with an integral IP router and firewall, while also supporting various Network Interface Modules (NIMs) and Digital Interface Modules (DIMs).

With a single combination 10/100/1000Base-T Ethernet port and an SFP module slot for high-speed uplink or stacking, the NetVanta 1224STR DC ensures non-blocking switching capacity of 6.8 Gbps. It is housed in a durable 1U 19-inch rackmount metal enclosure and supports auto-ranging power of +24/-48 VDC.
