Adtran 1200065L1 Drop & Insert T1 Serial Adapter Module

The Drop & Insert (D&I) Module is designed to enhance the TSU Multiplexer by providing a secondary T1 interface for seamless connectivity to telco or private facilities. This plug-in module significantly improves data, voice, and video transmission capabilities without requiring a second multiplexer.

The D&I Module allows for the selective insertion and extraction of channels between the primary and secondary T1 interfaces. This feature enables efficient connectivity between remote sites via a centralized system. It supports multiple coding formats, including AMI and B8ZS, and framing options such as D4 and ESF.

For ease of configuration, users can program the module through the front panel, a VT 100 terminal interface, or the optional T-Watch PRO software. The module can also be configured remotely, providing flexibility in data management.
