Adtran 1184515L4E OPTI-6100 DS1VM2 IEEE 1613 Interface Module

The OPTI-6100 DS1VM2 IEEE 1613 is designed to effectively multiplex and demultiplex 28 VT1.5 streams of an STS-1 to/from 28 DS1 circuits providing reliable performance. It features equipment protection through redundant (1:1) modules with advanced path protection and performance monitoring capabilities.

Essential monitoring functions include alarm surveillance, provisioning, and loopbacks (both in-band and out-of-band controlled). The device supports M13 or GR-253 VT1.5-to-DS1 mapping standards and implements AMI and B8ZS encoding alongside multiple framing formats including ESF SF and unframed formats.

This module also boasts auto frame format sensing and comprehensive monitoring for DS1 signals, including LCVs, LOS, LOF, AIS, CRC-6, RAI, and FE notifications. Timing options allow for external supply or derivation from connected OMM (optical multiplexer modules), and features hot swap capability along with an Auto In-Service Timer, all managed centrally by the System Controller Module (SCM).
