The Enhanced PSS PRO Shaft Seal is engineered for optimal performance under extreme conditions. Utilizing advanced stainless steel and carbon sealing components, this mechanical face seal includes reinforced silicone bellows and a secondary retention collar. It features durable 316 Stainless Steel hose clamps with rolled edges for added strength, coupled with an optional Nitronic 50 rotor upgrade suited for corrosive environments. Ideal for high-pressure applications, this shaft seal delivers exceptional durability and reliability amidst demanding conditions.

This mechanical face seal achieves its effective sealing through the interaction of a rotating stainless-steel rotor and a stationary carbon flange. The innovative design allows the carbon flange to attach securely to a heavy-duty silicone bellows, which connects to the vessel’s stern tube. The stainless-steel rotor applies compression to the bellows, ensuring constant contact and accommodating axial movement caused by propeller thrust. The design includes over-bored carbon flanges to enhance misalignment tolerance, and the unique O-ring configuration prevents wear during operation.
