With the Tripp Lite P167-000 HDMI Over Cat-5 Wall Plate Kit, you can locate an HDMI-enabled display up to 230' away from the HDMI source using readily available Cat-5 or Cat-6 UTP cable (for best performance, use solid wire). The wall plate extender consists of a passive wall plate at the source side and an active wall plate with built-in signal regenerator at the display side. Simply run two Cat-5/6 UTP cables between the two wall plates and plug in standard Tripp Lite HDMI patch cables to the HDMI source and the display.
