The Barton Boomstrut is specifically engineered for boats up to 6 meters (20 feet) long, featuring a maximum boom tip weight of 6.3 kg (14 lbs). This innovative device works in conjunction with your existing kicker or rope vang to provide upward lift on the boom, maintaining the optimal sail shape even in light winds. Constructed with white rods and Spectro Anodised fittings for boom and mast, it prevents the boom from falling onto the deck when the sail is dropped or when the topping lift is detached.

Available in six sizes to accommodate yachts up to 12 m/40 ft LOA

The patented flexing spring ensures quick response times and maintains a constant force for improved vang efficiency.

Designed with a lightweight, low-profile framework, the Boomstrut incorporates two flexible coated fiberglass rods to support the boom effectively. Pulling the boom down with a standard kicker flexes the Boomstrut; once released, the rods straighten and lift the boom back into position.
