DIN-Rail Mountable In-Line Surge Protector Keeps Your 10G Ethernet Equipment Safe. The B110-SP-POEC-10 protects high-power PoE++ devices from damage caused by electrostatic discharge (ESD), power surges and cable discharge events. Ideal for industrial AV, smart building infrastructure and automation environments, it supports 10 Gbps throughput and IEEE 802.3bt Type 4 power delivery over Cat5e/6/6a cabling for AV-over-IP and high-bandwidth networks. Just install it between your Ethernet source and PoE device using Cat5e/6/6a cables and ground it with the included wire. Note: Surge protection is unidirectional (source to device or device to source). Two B110-SP-POEC-10 surge protectors are required to protect both the source and the connected device. This saves you the expense and effort of purchasing, connecting and installing individual power supplies for each device. It also helps you install PoE devices in areas far away from AC outlets, such as poles or ceilings. The surge protector is DIN-rail mountable for installation in tight enclosures or structured cabling environments. Your Last Defense Against Intruding Voltage Spikes. Solid-state silicon-avalanche diode technology features low clamping voltage, providing superior protection against ESD and super-fast response time under one nanosecond. Gas discharge modules on all four twisted pairs protect each wire from surges or spikes by dissipating the voltage transient through a contained plasma gas. The B110-SP-POEC-10 meets the following IEC regulations: IEC 61000-4-2 (8K/15kV), IEC 61000-4-5 2kA (8/20 & micros), 6kV (8/20µs) and IEC 61000-4-4 (2kV).
