The Total Access 608 T1 TDM with DSX-1 system provides a single T1 TDM network interface that facilitates a migration path to advanced packet-based technologies such as ATM, achieved through a simple software download.
This model includes built-in Echo Cancellation (G.168) and ADPCM (G.726) compression resources, ensuring high-quality voice transmission. For future upgrades to T1 ATM, additional Echo Cancellation and compression resource modules may be required.
The system is equipped with fixed FXS ports (available in configurations of 4, 8, 12, 16, or 24 ports) and optional FXO ports (available in TA 624 model only - totaling 8 ports). The 50-pin female Amphenol connector supports Carrier Class analog POTS interfaces.
The integral IP router supports multiple protocols including DHCP, NAT/PAT, packet filtering, and RIP V1/V2, alongside a Layer 2 PPP and Frame Relay V.35 synchronous DTE interface. The device guarantees assured dial tone with Lifeline POTS functionality, all housed in a durable metal casing.
The product comes with a comprehensive 10-year warranty and options for AC power and battery backup, ensuring uninterrupted service.
